Madden NFL 07 Review

A review of Madden NFL 07 for the Xbox 360 is like a critic giving an early opinion of a Star Wars movie; people are going to pay their entry fee regardless of what is said by the experts. Makes sense. Madden NFL 07 is one of the longest running franchises on consoles, and is also one of the most popular pre-orders, year-in and year-out. But the Xbox 360 version of Madden NFL 07 is, in ways, more important than last year’s Madden NFL 06 review, even though 06 was the first next-gen football title in existence. Everybody could tell that last year’s Madden game was rushed, with nary a game mode or extra feature in sight. Madden NFL 07 is different. Tiburon has had an extra year to learn the hardware, and to pack in the features and other goodies that are supposed to make the only pigskin game of the year a big hit. Everybody is curious to see what the sports gaming juggernaut did to make Madden NFL 07 a no-brainer; justifying pre-orders all over the states. An above average NCAA SKU this year has helped to convince some of the naysayers, but if you’re still on the fence about Madden NFL 07 (and don’t believe in the preorder), then read on for the X’s and O’s of EA’s hard hitter.
